The Secret to Healthy Skin, Even After Sunny Conditions
The most popular obsession today is finding eternal youth. Usually the ones who look younger for their age have extremely healthy complexion’s. Majority of people today don’t realize the amount of obstacles they put their skin through. Tanning and dieting can cause more strain on your skin than you might think. Leading a healthy lifestyle is the best way to keep a younger outward appearance. The greatest contributor in aging skin is incurring damaged caused by the sun. Numerous individuals make the misconception that sunscreen will save them when being outdoors. The ugly truth however, is that it is just as bad the sun itself. Sunscreen contains many chemicals not good for your skin. The public needs to educate themselves on the track record of their skins damage and start learning ways to both heal and prevent the damage.
The reason why the sun is so harmful is because of ultra violet rays, the reason being because they create free radicals in the skin cells which can cause significant health issues like disease or cancer. Fortunately mother nature has provided us with numerous items to help in our bodies natural healing mechanisms. Specific antioxidant’s can halt dangerous free radicals from developing any further into certain biological processes. Besides this benefit, antioxidant also contain selenium and omega-3 which decrease inflammation and problems created by the sun’s rays.
The great thing is that our body is an incredible design and has the capability to heal naturally. Antioxidants help in this process and can stop free radicals from preventing this from happening. Antioxidants in addition to being an essential part of a healthy diet, are extremely good for your skin since omega 3′s and selenium are found in the many of the vitamins contained in them like vitamin A,C,D, and E.
Products with vitamins A, B, C, E, and D are readily available for our consumption. Fruits and vegetables with colorful hues are your best bet. To get a proper source of vitamin A look to foods such as: tomatoes, carrots, squash, broccoli, kale, sweet potatoes, collards, cantaloupe, peaches, watermelon, apricots, and berries. Go for green peppers, kiwi, limes, oranges, berries, broccoli, tomatoes and leafy green veggies to get vitamin C. Vitamin E can be found in almonds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, walnuts, barley, millet, and yet again leafy green veggies. Barley, oatmeal, shellfish, buckwheat, legumes, eggs, chicken, and garlic are all good inputs of selenium. For Omega-3 add in some flax seed, wild salmon, and walnuts.
While over exposure to the sun is harmful, we still need a daily amount to keep us healthy. The sun provides vitamin D. To get a glow with the least amount of risk you should lay out before 10:00 in the morning or after 5 in the afternoon. Vitamin D is essential to calcium absorption. Calcium is essential to prevent muscle weakness, breast and colon cancer, and osteoporosis. Calcium keeps blood clotting and thyroid function normal.
Foods to avoid before you take a trip the shore are carrots, parsley, celery, parsnips and limes. This is because they can make your skin extra sensitive to sunlight.
It is optimal to get your antioxidants through you diet than through supplements. If laying in the sun be sure to go early in the A.M. This way you can avoid wearing sunscreen and adding harsh chemicals to your skin. When you live healthy and take care of your body, you will see the benefits and be happier because of it. Always be aware that there is NO way to have a “safe” sunscreen or “healthy” tan, this is why you must track your time in the sun. Happy healthy skin will let you look much younger even as the years pass.
